Are the walks free to attend?
Yes, always. CLE Photowalks are completely free to join. We believe photography should be accessible to everyone regardless of gear or budget. Just register on Eventbrite so we know you are coming! We welcome all skill levels.
Is this beginner friendly?
Absolutely. Whether you’ve never touched a camera before or have been shooting for years, our walks are designed to be welcoming and relaxed. The goal is to learn, explore, and connect with other photographers.
Where do we meet?
Once you’re registered, you’ll receive email notifications as early as 48 hours in advance via Eventbrite. Check your spam folder.
Do I need to register?
Yes. Registration helps us plan for attendance and allows us to send important updates, meeting details, and any weather-related announcements.
What gear do I need?
Whatever you have! Phones, cameras, point and shoots, mirrorless or DSLRs, a fully charged battery and memory cards or film.
What should I bring besides a camera?
We recommend bringing comfortable walking shows, water, weather-appropriate clothing, and a sense of adventure.
Can I borrow gear?
Some sponsored photowalks may include demo gear from camera brands. If demo equipment is available, we’ll always note it on the event registration page so you know what to expect ahead of time.
If you want to come prepared with something specific, you’re also welcome to rent gear from us before the walk. We offer discounted weekend rentals for photowalk participants, making it an easy (and affordable) way to try new lenses or camera bodies during the event. Just stop into the store ahead of time or contact us to check availability—we’re happy to help you get set up before the walk starts.
Can I bring film cameras?
Everything from street photography and landscapes to architecture, portraits, film photography, and content creation. There are no rules—shoot what inspires you.
How do I collaborate/who do I tag?
After each walk, tag @thepixelconnection, @gabewasylko, and @clevelandphotowalks and we’ll share our favourites. For brand collaborations or sponsorships, use the contact form below.
Will my photos be featured?
We regularly highlight photos from our community on social media. Tag us after the walk for a chance to be featured. (@thepixelconnection, @gabewasylko, @clevelandphotowalks)
Are pets welcome?
If the location allows it and your pet is comfortable around groups, they’re welcome to join. Be sure to check the event description for any location-specific restrictions.
How long are the walks?
Most photowalks last between 1.5–2 hours, though some special events may run longer. Feel free to stay for the entire walk or leave whenever you need to.
Can I bring a friend?
Of course. Just make sure everyone registers so we know who’s attending and can communicate updates.
What kinds of photography do people shoot?
Everything from street photography and landscapes to architecture, portraits, film photography, and content creation. There are no rules—shoot what inspires you.
Where do I park and where do we meet?
Each photowalk has a designated meeting location that will be shared with registered participants before the event. Parking options vary by location, so we’ll provide recommended parking areas, addresses, and any special instructions closer to the walk date. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the event.
I signed up but can’t make it. What do I do if I can no longer attend?
No worries! If you’re unable to attend, please cancel your registration through your confirmation email or reach out to us and we’ll take care of it for you. Letting us know ahead of time helps us plan accordingly and opens up spots for others in the community.
